No you said that you say him play in the summer because you where a sub there?
yep...and...
and... that does not sound right.
All that I am saying is that "in my opion" just my opion you should not post things that you do not have all of the facs on. Just my opion, but I think that your break down of the strong points on each player are very good.
alright, let's take this step-by-step for ya
see college students go to school in semesters (fall and spring) after spring semester they are let out of school to go home for the summer some kids like to get jobs for summer break...myself, i decided to get a job substituting at rye cove high school while i was on summer break
that, coupled with the numerous times i saw him play last year and him even playing for gate city the summer of his freshman year with derek...ive seen him play plenty
now...a simple answer to my question will suffice...did you play high school ball? did you play college ball? altough you could answer yes to either one and neither be true since you wont be willing to tell who you are so no one could refute that
myself, im drew scott, graduated gate city 2 years ago and played varisty there 3 years and i play jv and scout team here at VT
If I had to critque one negative about your game, it would be your slow release. In no way am I being negative towards your game as a high school player, your shot can be successful in high school. I however believe if you want to play college basketball, even if its just at uva-wise, you are going to have to release it quicker. Stacy Ervin caught some of the same critcism for his release at the D1 level so hopefully you wont think im putting you down. I just know some of those defenders are relentless and you have to get rid of it quick.
Well hello Drew Scott, nice to meet you my name is Jason and I have played a few b-ball games in my life time.
Jason who out of curiosity? My interest is peaked.
like i said man, youre a dnag good player and all your problems just come from a lack of experience, all you can do is continue to play, play older and better players around wise co over the summer, get beat up some and gain some confidence with them, then youll be stronger during next year, if you make big leaps each year like that then the sky is the limit...fall in love with hard work, love practice, get up shots every day...look for better ways to get your shot off...as you go along teams will start to do to you what they did to jesse and jesse could still get some shots off with his footwork and a quick release...i wouldnt change your shot right now in the middle of the season but it's something to work for during the summer to get a shot off against athletic players
You keep responding like a smartarse and keep arguing something you know nothing about, you'll be made to eat some of your own "oldcrow"
Ha, sorry but that's all you get. Im not trying to make anyone mad (GC22), but I just don't agree with ya on your top 15 but everyone has the right to ones on opion! I saw Hood play upstate a few times this summer and he has made great improvements from last year. I think I saw somewhere that last year he led SWVA in assist and the last time I saw he was leading SWVA in points and is like 2 or 3 in assist this year. It is simple to me do the math.
im not mad...i just dont think that what i posted is "hearsay" because ive seen each of the players play, this year with the exception of hood who i saw on "the first few weeks of my summer vacation"
Stats are all fine & well, but just because you're the NBA's scoring leader doesn't mean you're the best player in the NBA. Just because you lead in assists doesn't mean you're the best PG...etc.
GC's seen all these kids play. He's seen ballers. He's seen guys that have talent and D1 talent at that. He's played against the same dudes that Duke played against last night. I'll take his list over any list you'd compile anyday...Jason ___________.
I will have to take back the hearsay thing then. Im sorry for the misunderstanding.
no problem...we're good then
Stick to football.
According to todays stats in the KTN Adam is leading SWVA (those who report their info at least) with I think 21.6 PPG, and was 3rd in average assists with 6.3 I believe.
anyone else from RC score in bunches?
Thanks for the info Stripes.
What are you asking? If you are asking if anyone else from RC can score. I have been hearing that the Shupe kid is coming along, and opening up many more shot's for Hood because the defence has to respect Shupe now.

Bet I know more about either sport than you do. Of course, you do make yourself sound dumber with the stand-offish and smartalec attitude...so I could be wrong. Tone that attitude down and you'll last past 30 posts on here before you're booed off the board. Ask questions first instead of making accusations...we'll all get along a lot better...it's all about board etiquette dude--get some.
im asking if anyone else from RC can handle a scoring role
Im not really sure as of right now, up till this point I think that Adam is the only one that they have had to score. But its still along season. Football fan no disrespect to you or anyone on here but I have my on opion on things. Im sure you do know more about football than I do! Does anyone know when Dockery from TS is going to get his 1000?
relax man he is just giving his opion.
Maybe later we can smoke some opion. I hear there is alot of opion plants in afghanistan.
Their coming along. Travis Shupe has been shooting it real well for the Cove outside. Brian McPherson, who is their 6th man, can dial it in from outside, and can take it to the hoop. Its too bad he hadn't played in the past, because he is real raw for a SR. He is strong, and has great ups. Dunks two handed in warm ups.
If Matt Bledsoe would finish some shots down low for RC it would be the biggest thing for them. He has great, soft hands, excellent footwork, but just isn't finishing well in the games I have seen. If he gets on track RC may win the district. If not, they still have a good shot, but it will be difficult.
John Franklin (VTGals brother) has nights where he shoots is ok, but a little more production would help. He is a very good defender, and rebounder though. And the other starter, Jeff Edwards is a real good defender who works the ball into the post well for RC. He doesn't shoot much, and being away from basketball the last two years may have factored into that some.

Dude, so does everyone else. That's not my point. Feel free to express your opinions...just don't be an arse about it. Your opinion on players is fine. Your opinion on how GC was reaching his conclusions was unfounded and based on the assumption that he was full of isht. That's what I'm telling you--ask questions, don't assume, and if you have an opinion be able to back it up with some factual evidence of some type. Things will go a lot smoother.
If you don't do that, you will get flamed for it and your opinions won't carry as much weight around here in discussions. Think about it--that's just how it goes man.

Not a bad list, but I think the "Keith" kid from Pound can play too. He doesn't get a lot of press, because the Wildcats are not playing well, but he is a nice slashing player. Goodman being the best is a little bit of a stretch. He's too short for the next level. His head is what sets Goodman apart. He's not fast, but gets the most out of his ability. Being a coach's son and fundamentally sound doesn't hurt either.
